What this tool does

After a large move, price often gives back part of it. Fibonacci retracement levels are the reference lines traders use to estimate where that pullback might stall. This tool finds the recent swing high and low on a Binance chart, draws the levels, and tells you which zone price is in right now.

How it is calculated

Within the chosen range (default: the last 120 bars, excluding the one still forming) the highest high and lowest low define the swing. If the low came first it is an up-swing; if the high came first, a down-swing. Up-swing retracement price = high − (high − low) × ratio; down-swing = low + (high − low) × ratio. Ratios are 0, 23.6, 38.2, 50, 61.8, 78.6 and 100%. Extensions project 127.2, 161.8 and 261.8% of the swing from its starting point.

Things to know

Frequently asked questions

How are the swing high and low chosen?

The highest high and lowest low within the selected range. The last, still-forming bar is excluded because its values keep changing. A different range may pick a different swing, so check the H and L markers.

My TradingView drawing gives different numbers.

Almost always because the swing points differ. On TradingView you click two points by hand; here the range's extremes are used automatically. Enter the same two prices in the calculator below and the levels will match.

What are the 127.2% and 161.8% extensions?

Targets for a continuation in the same direction after the swing. Here they are the prices 1.272 and 1.618 times the swing size away from the swing's starting point.

How often does it update?

Every 15 seconds the latest bars are fetched again and the levels recalculated. It pauses when the tab is hidden and refreshes as soon as you return.

How is the KRW price calculated?

It is the USDT price multiplied by Bithumb's USDT/KRW rate, a reference only. It can differ from Korean exchange prices, which include the kimchi premium.
